Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an OEM part?

No, it is an aftermarket 18919-AM810 Accelerator pedal sensor unit for Nissan Komatsu & Allis-Chalmers, TCM Forklift.

What is an accelerator pedal position sensor?

It is a sensor that keeps track of where the accelerator pedal is positioned and transmits that information to the powertrain control module.

What does a vehicle sensor do?

The vehicle sensor is the input device of the vehicle computer system. It converts the information of various working conditions during the operation of the vehicle, such as vehicle speed, the temperature of multiple media, and engine operating conditions, into electrical signals and sends them to the computer so that the machine is in the best working condition.

How does the accelerator pedal sensor work?

The accelerator pedal position uses a sensor that locates the pedal using a magnetic field to identify its location. A change in the pedal's position causes a difference in the charge. The ECM receives the information to let it know how firmly you are depressing the gas pedal.

How do I reset my accelerator pedal sensor?

Here is how you can reset your accelerator pedal sensor:

Disconnect the battery for approximately five minutes

* After five minutes, reconnect the battery

* Turn the ignition switch on

* Press the gas pedal and release: Repeat this step 2 to 3 times

* Turn the ignition switch off

* Check if the idle is still, then it's reset successfully

When should I replace my accelerator pedal sensor?

If you find the following problems, then it's likely to replace your accelerator pedal sensor:

Bad idling

* The engine does not run efficiently

* Vehicle acceleration issues

* Jerks while depressing the throttle paddle.
